HOW TO TELL IF YOU HAVE HEARING LOSS
People have their own ideas about what life is like with hearing loss. Most hearing loss occurs gradually, so it’s often difficult for a person to tell.
Ask yourself the following questions to assess your hearing loss:
§
Do people mumble or speak soft?
§
Do you feel tired or irritable after a long conversation?
§
Do you sometimes miss key words, or frequently ask people
to repeat?
§
When you are in a group, or a crowded restaurant, do you
have difficulty following the conversation?
§
Do people tell you that you turn up the volume on your TV
or radio?
§
Do you have difficulty hearing the doorbell or telephone
ring?
§
Is carrying on a telephone conversation difficult?
§
Has someone mentioned that you might have a problem with
your hearing?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, you will
definitely benefit from an audiological consultation. Please contact us at 872-0320 to set up an appointment.
